Great quote from D.A. Carson. I've never read any of his books but this quote gets me thinking I would like him. The bigger/better house or car are not in themselves good or evil, things are neutral. But the human heart isn't, and is so prone to worship the wrong things. And on a ironic note, I found this site while looking for news on the apple store coming to Little Rock. So for the record, I do own stuff. :~)

Great quote! I do, however, happen to think that God does want his people to be blessed materially.... I think he wants great things for us in general! I do agree, however, that if your life truly revolves around "stuff" and you're never satisfied with anything you have (always wanting more) than that's not a life God would want for you. But, I do get tired of hearing things like getting a bigger/better house, or a bigger/better automobile is something that God despises... I just don't agree! Like I said, as long as it isn't what you've centered your life around.

Mandy's last blog post..It's in the air!
