I'm both amused and intrigued by how closely your "bookstore melanchy" parallels my despondency over the fact that no matter how fast or how much I read, the books far outnumber my estimated lifespan. On the job in Immanuel's Media Center, I am surrounded by an amazingly large and excellent collection of material. The question is which books do I
choose to read??? I guess it's in the genes!!!

You know, I'd never thought about it until you mentioned it, but I've run into Mr. M in the bookstore for that very reason.

This reminded me of something I read (Imagine!) in a book about organization by Peter Walsh. I have shelves and shelves and shelves of books in our house. Movers hate us. It's difficult (although easier than it used to be) for me to get rid of a book, even or sometimes especially if I haven't read it yet. Even if I'm not completely excited about the subject matter. Peter Walsh explained that people like me believe that to own the book is to possess the wisdom that the book contains. I'm the kid that has to immediately Google whenever there's a question about pop culture at a party because I can't sleep until I know the answer.

So are you saying there will be no bookstore, Google, or reading in Heaven?
