Check out Postreach!

picture-3.jpg

I’m enjoying this addictive little feedback tool created by Postreach. You can see it at the bottom of every post. It’s a way of “voting” on a post without having to leave a comment. Hopefully, this will create more feedback for blog authors, who sometimes just want a pathetic pat on the back from someone that says, “Hey, I’m reading…”

You can also go to Postreach’s Showcase page and see blog entries that are receiving votes in a scrolling fashion. Very cool.

Try it out by simply scrolling over the icon that best fits your reaction and leaving a quick vote!

  • I like it… the problem is, I never come to your site… I always read your site through bloglines (an RSS reader… yes Jeff… I know you know what bloglines is but some of your readers don’t)…

postreach doesn’t embed into the rss feeds… so I can’t give you a pat on the back.

A good alternative to this would be feedburner… feedburner gives you information on the users that read your blog through an rss reader such as bloglines… an RSS reader ;)

  • RJ, I know what you mean. I use Bloglines almost exclusively, and the thing that it and other RSS services fail to connect with is the comments. You can get to them from these sites, but you can’t see them on Bloglines.

The feed service that integrates feeds AND their comments in one screen is going to take off.

I have used Feedburner for a while, but I don’t know if I have it set up right? I did put it in my sidebar a few days ago and noticed immediately that my “readers” began to increase.
