Overheard on Justin Blanton’s blog:
I wonder how long it’s going to take my future kid to figure out that I don’t know everything, and that every time I say, “we’ll talk about it later,” I’m actually just buying time to Google the question. I predict not long.
Exactly. Has Google become our online brain?

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!Yep,My brain is sitting right in front of me right now on a 17′monitor,fo sho!!!!
1.I think it is good that our kids dont actually believe we know everything……no point in perpetrating a lie for our own egos, because it certainly does our children no good.
2.I think this is one of the positive outcomes of the internet age….people look up stuff they dont know about..thsts a good thing….isn’t it?:D

LOL…my daughter just proclaimed the other day, “Daddy knows EVERYTHING!!!” Of course she took it back after I told her that going to the dentist is healthy! I only know everything when I happen to say things she agrees with, I guess.
As for Google…I think we are only beginning to tap the true significance of what the internet can be for humankind. This is a very exciting time, and I agree with K.T., people looking things up is a very good thing. It used to be that “cool” people didn’t look things up. Why? Because you had to go into a library (where all the nerds were) and grab an encyclopedia. Nowadays, all of those “cool” dorks can look things up online (and pretend they’re hip doing it), while all of us nerds are just glad the “cool” dorks are finally learning something…duh, took ya long enough! ;)
