		<description>Great post! I lived a year one winter in Arkansas City.  Great experience.  There is a alot of history in this little town.  Rising Tide is a great book too. We would be living in a different world if the flood had not change the river and changed history.  Most people are not aware of the enormity of how devastating the flood really was.</description>

I loved listening to stories of her telling about the flood.  I don&#039;t know where they are know, but she had pictures that showed only the roof of her two story house.  It was truly amazing.</description>
