Great post. But, as you know, mine's almost been the opposite problem. I tend to only want to listen to others. No conflict. No argument. No point to be proven by me. So, be humble without being a doormat, right??

I think I've gotten better over the years. Probably because I've had to tell you off a few times. ;-)

I have a button I wear that says “I’m humble” it helps people to know they’re wrong while remaining humble.

KT, for starters, the thing that helps me the most is daily intake of God’s Word. It is a perspective clarifier.

Then begin to pray for humility.

Then step back and don’t be alarmed at the transformation that begins to take place.

Jim, you’re too sensitive. It was most definitely not you (or even a blogger, to my knowledge).

Jeff, I didn’t know our conversation the other day was torturous! Shame on me for dominating that conversation. I’m NEVER like that…far from conceited or egotistical and extremely modest! :)

BTW…David James IS the master of genuine conversational listening. An art I have NO WHERE near perfected.

Great post!
