Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find out that Gore is a board member at Apple, as well as continuing to line his pockets. Check out this disturbing article where it says:

Things that are not disputed though would be examples of glaciers melting. Polar bears are drowning b/c they cannot reach another ice patch once they begin swimming. When has that ever happened before? I think that we'll have times of warmer temps and times of colder temps as a natural occurence and to be a total "global warming wacko" is definitely not my style. My main objective is to not be nonchalent about our environment. Let's say global warming IS a myth... it still doesn't do away with ridiculous amounts of CO2 entering the atmosphere, pollutants entering our water and air supply, landfills taking up land that used to be swamps, forrests, or other wildlife enhabitation. I think global warming, true or not, is the LEAST of the environmental problems to worry about. On the way to Little Rock on I-440 the huge landfill there just filled in a once swamp area where ducks and geese used to frequent to make room for more trash. It's ridiculous. Simply ridiculous. I just think we Americans need to get our heads out of the sand and see what impact each and every one of us has on this planet. Shall we all join hands and start singing? Another fact: global warming has been so highly politicized that average people are completely unaware of the true "facts" about it. Many leading scientists say that you can't compare a 100 year period of global temperature and say it's a trend one way or the other. It's an entire planet, for pete's sake. It's comparable to taking your own temperature every thirty seconds and trying to predict a trend and then to speculate that at the rate you're going, you'll have a 130 degree temperature in 45 years... For those who would totally subscribe to the "global warming is a fact" position, I would simply encourage a reading of the other position. Fred Singer</span><span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span><a href="http://www.co2science.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change</a></span></p> @Mandy: I wouldn’t want to disagree in an absolute fashion with you about your comments, but when you said, “scientists can prove one thing to be true, while other scientists are proving something else to be true,” it sums up the predicament.

Another fact: global warming has been so highly politicized that average people are completely unaware of the true “facts” about it. Many leading scientists say that you can’t compare a 100 year period of global temperature and say it’s a trend one way or the other. It’s an entire planet, for pete’s sake. It’s comparable to taking your own temperature every thirty seconds and trying to predict a trend and then to speculate that at the rate you’re going, you’ll have a 130 degree temperature in 45 years…

For those who would totally subscribe to the “global warming is a fact” position, I would simply encourage a reading of the other position. One website says it not only isn’t a fact, but it’s a farce and tracks sites that seek to make that apparent. Here’s his growing list:

I, personally, think it's a little irresponsible for anyone in this day and age to think that they have no impact on our climate, our environment, our planet, and yes, global warming. I don't think it's coincidental that as cars have become more popular and bigger,constantly excreting higher amounts of CO2, the earth began to warm. Natural global warming DOES exist.. the Earth's climate changes constantly with or without our impact. The fact remains that our Earth's temperature has gotten much higher in the past 100 years than ever before. When the maps are showing less and less land in certain areas, and more and more water, due to huge glaciers slowly melting, then it's pretty concrete evidence that SOMETHING is making our Earth hotter. We know for sure that CO2 holds heat in... we know for sure that we are producing insane amounts of CO2. Now, is that the ONLY thing to associate with global warming? Of course not. Is it a factor? Absolutely. We have to look outside of our own country, too. Look at China. While other countries are becoming a 'little' more aware (at the least) in CO2 impact, China is steadily finding ways to produce more of it than ever. I believe that God definitely has a hand in everything, from global warming to ice ages. I also believe that global warming may be his sign to us to stop being so wasteful of the resources he's entrusted to us. I can't claim to be an expert in this area, but many experts, that are NOT in pocket with any political figures but merely doing their jobs, agree that global warming absolutely is greatly impacted by we humans.
