I love all the lessons we can learn from the situations surrounding Lazarus. The fact that Jesus was told of the death of Lazarus and did nothing right away is a beautiful site! Yes, he could have spoken and he would have been raised from the dead. Or he could have just simply thought Lazarus back to life, but he waited. Jesus wanted God the Father to be glorified. Many people were gathered and they all knew Lazarus was dead. I believe it may be Jewish custom that the soul doesnt leave the body until 3 days, so Lazarus was dead! Many people started following Jesus after seeing the miracle. Beautiful.
Jesus weeping is yet another beautiful lesson. As a mother, I have cried just by watching my children sleep. I love my children so much it hurts sometimes, but Jesus loves us more than that. Beautiful.

I think the hardest thing for me to reconcile as a Christian is the "Jesus gets the message... and does nothing."

I am slowly becoming more aware of the "bigger picture" and of the fact that evil exists as well as good. With "free will" reigning, bad things will happen to good people. Thankfully, we can know that we have the one true God, weeping with us, and holding us, through whatever tragedies comes our way.

@Michael: Thanks for the kind comments, as well! It was great visiting with you today. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

@Jeremy: As you can tell from my summary, I really got a lot out of MK's message. The idea of a crying God? Huge.

@Josh: Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words. I appreciate you sharing your blog link. I'll stop by from time to time. It was great being with everyone at NCW, and I pray for God's deepest blessings on your plant in Pullman.

Jeff you did a great job summarizing what I consider one of the best teachings that we had the privilege of sitting under this week. I would like to think that there have been some moments in my life where my Savior has wept along with me!!!
