Jeff, I just wanted to let you know that I'm glad you went to Monticello. You played such a big role in my spiritual development, even before I came to UAM. Back before Craig came to IBC Warren and you used to preach at our church, you really influenced me. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that!

<b>
Phillipe' - I appreciate your encouragement so much. The scripture in 1 Corinthians 1.27-29 has always been one of my promise verses about our ministry here:
<i>"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things?and the things that are not?to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him."</i>
It's encouraging to me to know that God can use me, imperfect and flawed. It's encouraging to know that small places (like Monticello) are just the sort of places that God loves to do some of His greatest works.

I'm so deeply grateful to Him that you and Rosie were brought into our lives to witness Him and work for His glory!</b>

I think you might have made the right decision by coming to Monticello; wait a minute, yeah, yep you did! If we have become slaves to God (Rom. 6:22), then we do not get to pick which direction we think will be best for our career. We go with God to the place he prepares for us. Of course if we are in right relationship with God, then this is where we want to go anyway. I don't think Paul's missionary journeys and his stint in the big house were good for business. I believe you lived the following scripture out, and that is why you ended up in Monticello. But what do I know? (Romans 12)- "1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
