With that said, I HAVE been impressed with McCain’s ability to listen, assimilate information, receive wise counsel, and work with people of opposing viewpoints.

Those are all traits astonishingly absent from the Obama-Biden camp. The recent refusal and attack of the Florida news anchor by the Dem campaign for asking Biden tough qestions is evidence of supreme arrogance, as is the dismissal from Obama’s campaign press entourage of newspaper reps who have endorsed McCain.

additionally, with a projected democrat super-majority in the house, and a projected filibuster-proof majority in the senate, don’t look for mccain to be able to get anything useful accomplished if he does get elected. besides, he cozies up to liberal democrats too much for my tastes anyway, so those democrat majorities look just as worrisome with mccain in there as with obama.

if i DO vote for him, it would be the way his own mother once said she’d have to vote for him… holding my nose (not that his mother would be holding my nose… well, you know what i mean.

as a side note, i linked to a blog post that quoted the late william f. buckley concerning abortion and “one issue voters.” his take on it was brilliant…

I think more people would be against Obama if people stopped forwarding junk emails that trash him, and put questionable info out there. There’s plenty of true stuff to turn me against him without having to rely on spam-ish emails to pick my candidate. I think people get so much of that stuff, that they disregard it ALL, even the true things. Best example, “no hand over the heart during the nat’l anthem.” Well, if people would take 30 seconds to google, they would see that he does sometimes salute. That is still very very wrong to me, that he doesn’t do it all the time, but he DOES do it sometimes. Uninformed citizens are killing the vote. There are plenty of other issues to look at besides that one! Him not saluting is the least of our worries.

I do NOT want to pay for more taxes. I do NOT want the government telling me I couldn’t homeschool if I wanted to, and I sure don’t want the president giving my daughter permission for an abortion that I know nothing about.
