We are praying for you that everything will turn out ok. We know first hand what it is like. The “not knowing” day to day is really hard, but you have so many people behind you. Stay strong and if you need anything, we are here for you guys!

To everyone… again… Some day soon, I’ll post about what it feels like to witness and receive the mobilization of the body of Christ’s prayers. I wouldn’t wish crisis on anyone to catalyze such movement, but being on this end of things is unspeakable.

One thing is for sure, prayers are being lifted up on an almost constant basis for you and your family, not only in my home, but in MANY homes. We love you guys, and are on our knees in God’s presence for you. Carolyn’s amazing attitude and strength, even the same day as finding out this scary information, nearly brought tears to my eyes. She is someone that I find myself looking up to more and more as I get closer to her and learn from her how a strong Christian woman lives.

I received a trackback ping from this post, and I couldn’t help but read. Let me extend my heartfelt concern and hope for your family’s situation and struggle right now. My father had breast cancer, and–I can’t water it down–it was awful. But nothing so far in my life has drawn me closer to my family as a unit than that difficult time. I have never felt so much support and kinship with my fellow man than when suffering was happening in our lives.

There is so much love in the world, and so much hope to be found right here in humanity. Medicine, treatments… they are amazing tools we could never have hoped for if we as a people did not love one another. So I hope you see a lot of that care and support all around you as you go forward in this together.
