Hi Jeff...great words on the book. I've been searching the blogosphere looking for a good critique of this book. I have to admit that I loved it and read it in two days. I was fascinated by the insights into Muslim and Arab culture - and so my "paradigm" was somewhat "shifted." But I have to admit, I felt continually frustrated with the responses of those interviewed. They never really seemed to answer the questions and I wondered in the end what they really thought of Jesus. Also, can you love your neighbor without, ultimately, telling him the truth? Jesus made clear truth claims about who He was - respect and honor is not what He sought.
