I realize this is an old post, but with the Pres. election coming up it just seemed fitting to "refresh" it. I have to say that people are already asking if I've decided on who I want as President in '08... let's see.. dishonest or dishonest? Immoral or Immoral? More taxes or More National Deficit? Decisions decisions! I totally agree that it doesn't even seem worth voting sometimes. I do agree with what I've heard others say though.. "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain!"

Mandy's last blog post..What's with the attitude?

Ya know, all of the issues that surrounded our current mayor seemed to have died out-but I feel like something big is coming on the horizon, something that he wants and the community doesnt but he will get it-I felt that from the time the last issue was voted on-or shall I say lack of being voted on....

I agree with the principle, Jeff, but in the mayor's case it may well be better to have an indecisive (or perhaps just secretive) mayor as opposed to the incumbent.

He's pretty far out there. but I've always thought this Michael Moore quote is pretty funny...he says that most people today vote with the idea that they are choosing between "the lesser of two evils." Moore says that it's more like "choosing between the evil of two lessers." Perhaps this describes the Monticello mayoral race also.
