Do you know how broken-hearted I am when I am ready for a break so I get online to read a brilliant piece of literature by journeyguy and instead the same post that has been there for days is looking at me?! It's your fault! You got us addicted! You can't just post twice a week after all those posts day after day. Journeyguy, journeyguy, wherefore art thou post? I always hate to see anyone who is not in love with Jesus Christ - and most of all, <i>churched</i> folks. It's dismaying to realize how many folks <i>endure</i> religion because they think they should rather than <i>enjoy</i> God because He is worthy and full of hope, life, and perfection. @Mandy: Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your thoughts. I always hate to see anyone who is not in love with Jesus Christ – and most of all, churched folks. It’s dismaying to realize how many folks endure religion because they think they should rather than enjoy God because He is worthy and full of hope, life, and perfection.

I wrote my “philosophy of ministry” back when I was in seminary,and though it needs some tweaks, it still reveals my conviction that Christianity is a relationship, not a religion.

It's so refreshing and so different than what I've always heard. Growing up, I felt very fearful of NOT becoming a Christian. Praying "that prayer" was a get out of hell free card, but thankfully, I was also taught of God's love at home. Without those lessons, I'm fairly certain I'd have turned against church and decided it was just too hard to try to live for Christ... fear only takes one so far. It's too bad sermons like the one you preached this past Sunday aren't more prevelant. I left church feeling like a ton of bricks was lifted from my head and had a huge drive to do more to glorify Christ.
