dude! what timing! i just came back on duty from my first weekend off in a month, and figured i’d be ready to face the day (and the month to come). got almost all the way through our weekly staff meeting without a problem, and then for some reason (partly because almost everyone in the room started talking at one time), i just lost it. i didnt jump up and yell “SHUT UP!!” or anything like that, it was just like, i dunno… i could hear everything, but could make out nothing, and i couldnt get out of that room… Read more »
hang in there, dean. i’ll pray for you this afternoon. my case of OW ranges in the line of how can I be an effective pastor while I’m so consumed with trying to make ends meet for my family. On top of that, all my busyness nets very little cash flow. Mucho energy for nada. Yes, there’s some whine in there.

All the while I hear the Holy Ghost like a fitness trainer saying “FEELIN’ THE BURN YET?!!!” You and I both know it’s only “temporary” but how does that word line up in the scope of eternity? Weeks? Months? Years? Decades? When does it end? Oh I think that overwhelmed is an understatement. I had a cal 3 test at 8, a history paper due at 9:40 and a linear algebra quiz at 11. Then I had a chem 2 lab test at 1:30 and band at four. On top of that I am trying to talk to my grandparents about how I am going to do what God wants me to do with my life, no matter the cost. And the constant conflict with satan. Overwhelmed? Let’s see . . . marriage, five children, full time job, grad school. Nah — nothing stressful about that.
